This is our new egg label.   Eggs are a tiny part of what makes up this farm.  

The chickens are free range when I can watch them.  My flock has been greatly reduced by coyotes so I've been more careful about when I let them be free.  My version of free range means that I open the door and they can go where they want.   They may fly in the trees or scratch in the gardens.

When they are locked up they have about 200 square feet of earth they may scratch.  This counts as free range technically but it isn't good enough to keep really healthy chickens.

I dream of a fence good enough to keep the coyotes out.
